Crafting a custom home design tailored for a family of 5, incorporating multi-generational living on the ground floor for the grandparents, alongside the inclusion of an office and a prayer room.
Situated on a corner lot with a substation on one side, the design needed meticulous consideration. Approval pathways were pursued through the council due to the substation and the corner lot size. This approach aimed to maximize the build and optimize land usage, including provisions for a future swimming pool.
Despite the flat nature of the site with ample access, notable challenges surfaced, primarily related to the corner lot's radius and the adjacent substation. Addressing safety concerns, walls had to be fireproof, and the balcony was constructed with a brick veneer finish. These considerations were essential to meet both safety standards and aesthetic preferences.
